First Pocono Summer

Eileen and I decided to spend some time in the poconos together with Delilah and Steven. It was so fun to see the little one's play together! Even though we were somewhat limited in keeping the nap schedule we were able to take walks around the old stomping grounds, and get some good pool time in.

But going to the pool sure isn't what it used to be. Just unloading the car was exhausting! I remember when we just grabbed a towel and took off in the golf cart :)
Delilah was very lady like and lovely while Steve was more like a wild animal with his splashing and kicking in the water.

And of course Grandma and Grandpa got some good baby pool time in too :)

Six and a 1/2 months

Well, it's been 6 1/2 months since this little guy came into the world and if I thought he was changing a lot before look out! Because what has happened in the last two weeks is just not fair! In two weeks he is sitting up on his own and crawling like a champ! I can't leave him alone for a second. He is very strong and fast!

He has proven to be a very happy and calm baby almost all of the time. And despite the act in this picture, he is not shy at all! Nothing and no one seems to scare him. He will snuggle up to anyone willing to hold him and tolerates being passed around with a smile.

He is quite the little character already, talking up a storm, kicking and bouncing all day long, and when you smile at him he loves to smile back

Pool Time:)

Steven LOOOOOOOVES the pool. He kicks and splashes away like he's in a giant bath. He goes a little wild hitting the water so it splashes back into his own face, while he keeps his tongue out and his eyes closed. Also, these little 50 spf bathing shirt hoodies are great! Wish they had them for us Irish mama's too :(

I unfortunately did not have as easy a time getting into this ice cold water. Ah, but the things we do for our babies. Thanks Mandy for capturing the true mood of the moment ;)

Don't eat my baby!

Yes it's great that Steven smiles a lot but look at those cheeks! People are stopping me in the store to pinch those big apples and telling me they could eat my baby. Yes sometimes its cute but it makes me a little nervous since they look so dangerously delicious.

Happy Summer!

Happy Summer! It's really fun being home together. Steven is getting on a nice schedule with two long naps - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. So I'm getting some me time in also.

He really is such a happy baby and is definitely a morning person like his mom.

He loves the pool and looks oh so cool splashing around and in his pool digs.

I'll have more action shots when I have someone else with me to take the pictures.

End of the School Year

He did it! He finished his first semester of school! Child Care at Stone Ridge had an end of the year party with dancing, singing and play. They gave out certificates and apparently Steven was an "outstanding student"

Too bad he slept through the whole thing!

Moving Along

Just 6 months and moving along already! He's been twisting and spinning for a while now but Steven is now ON THE MOVE! He scoots his knees up, rocks a bit and then pulls forward. Like a little worm going up and down, up and down.

Steven can also sit for a little bit before toppling over. Mandy loaned us this great table he can use to practice. Jose just LOVES the bright pink legs ;)
