Pocono New Years 2010

New Year's in the Poconos!  Our Cunha Family tradition.

It was a winter wonderland for Steven this New Year's!  Brand new snow suit from Aunt Kathleen made it easy to get out and explore!
Oh yeah - he was catching snowflakes on his tongue :)

I'm sorry but look at those ridiculous eyelashes!  Where did those come from??

Spinola Cottage is where it's at for New Year's!

Dad set up his new tent and tunnel.  Steven was particularly attached to this basket in the house and carried it everywhere with him all week.

And of course bath time in the jacuzzi extra large tub is always a bonus.  He basically has a swimming pool in this thing.

The snow was deep and thick and although it presented some challenges
Steven wrestled through it with a little help from Daddy. Happy New Year!

Cunha Christmas 2010

2010 was a great Christmas for the Cunha's.

Steven sure did have a lot of fun posing for his Christmas card !!!

Steven was certainly able to get around much more than last year when he was only 20 days old!
He also seems to have grown a Santa like belly in those jammys!
No surprise since every meal was a feast and Christmas breakfast was no exception!
Hallelujah for munchkins!

With all the practice he had at his 1st birthday party only 2 weeks ago he was diving into the presents like a pro, whether they were for him or not :)
Who needs to unwrap them?  Just stack, climb and knock down.  That's what they're for right?
Going for a morning jog around the house with sweatband and Chinese drum Aunt Ellen brought him from Hong Kong.

Grand Godfather Jim brought lots more Christmas fun later on, including a cash register complete with credit card swiper ;)
He loves his Mickey Mouse pj's from all the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse he watches and dances to every weekend. Thanks Aunt Maureen!
Steven sported many looks this holiday season.  He sure does love to accessorize.  Rock on little man. Rock on.

1st Birthday

Steven is now a big 1 year old!  he's riding 4 wheelers, running around and has a very wide vocabulary with words like "moo"  "quack quack"  "woof woof"  "ba bye"  "Hiiiiiiiiiii" and "night night".  He is also using his baby signs to communicate for "more", "night night" and "milk".  I can't believe how big he is and how fast he's grown.  It was definitely time for a party and to celebrate!

Can you believe I made these? Jose was very doubtful when I said I wanted to make Sesame Street cupcakes but look at these babies!  Clearly my love for my son has pushed my boundaries in the kitchen - well for dessert anyway :)

Oh yes, we did have our son's first birthday at a bar.  Upstairs at Hamiltons we tore it up! A few of the local customers were taken by a little surprise when they came up the stairs to grab a drink and saw toddlers and elmo everywhere;)

Oh yea it's my party and I'll tear the streamers down if I want to!!

And I'll wear my awesome Cookie monster headband too! It's not a party without my party hat!

The girls had no trouble helping Steven open his presents and try them all out!  And Julia and Breanne gave him the 101 on housing a cupcake.
He took one finger of the frosting to try it out.  Then immediately shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

Bring on the cupcakes!

All the kids did a great job helping to celebrate with dancing, playing, eating and chilling at the bar.  We're very lucky to have such great friends and family.
Happy birthday baby boy!
